Preparing for your Massage Appointment
What to expect
Getting a massage is a relaxing and enriching experience. However, if you've never had one, you'll want to know what you need to do. Don't worry; it's not very difficult to get ready for a massage, The main rule is to relax and enjoy the treatment!

Hydrate
Making sure you are comfortably hydrated before your treatment is just as important as hydrating after, it all helps with flushing the toxins. But don't drink so much that you over fill your bladder, as this can cause you to feel rather uncomfortable during your treatment.

Clothing
Wear loose clothing that's comfortable and easy for to take off and put back on if possible.

Before treatment / Consultation
Before your treatment, we'll have a chance to have an informal chat, during which time I will record information such as name, address and date of birth. I will also take note of medical history, allergies, ailments, medical treatments, medicines and areas of the body that are causing you pain or discomfort.
This record will be kept confidential and locked away safely at all times.
We will also discuss your preference of oils to be used and preferred pressure to be applied.
I'll then leave you to undress and get yourself comfy on the massage couch before returning to start your treatment.

During treatment
At the beginning of your treatment, I will ask if the pressure feels okay and if you are comfortably, after which I will stop talking and leave you to relax and enjoy your treatment! Falling asleep is absolutely okay!
Do not hesitate to let me know if you'd like the pressure applied to be lighter or firmer or if you have areas that are more tender than others.

End of treatment
At the end of your treatment, you will be left for a few minutes alone to gather your thoughts and come back down to earth! In this time you can re dress. I will then return back to the room.
